Message Alerts

A common problem for Netsuite users is to be aware of important details about a particular record they might be on at that very moment. I was tasked with figuring out a dynamic way to show messages based on saved searches that could be easily configured and maintained by power users. Developing this solution turned more complex than you might imagine involving suitescript 2.0 user-event, client, & scheduled scripts that ran saved searches every 30 minutes and creating message alerts on records. Once implemented though it proved easy for accounting to manage and create new alerts to meet their needs. This enhancement greatly improved quality of life and responsiveness of billing to potential issues and improved customer relations and reduced labor costs.
